Abstract :

Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) effectively mitigates inter symbol interference(ISI) Caused by the delay spread of wireless channels. Therefore, it has been used in many wireless systems and adopted by various standards . However ,they are very sensitive to nonlinear effects due to the high peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR) owned by their transmitted signals. In this paper ,we present a comprehensive survey on Peak-to-Average Power Reduction techniques for OFDM. We address basic OFDM as well as techniques to improve the performance of OFDM for wireless communications, including peak-to-average power ratio reduction .
