Abstract :

This paper presents thermal post-buckling analysis of Functionally Graded materials cylindrical shell with temperature dependent and independent material properties. The basic formulation is based on higher order shear deformation theory (HSDT) with von-Karman nonlinear strain kinematics using modified C0 continuity. A direct iterative based nonlinear finite element method (DIFEM) is used. The present outlined approach is validated with those available results in the literature.
