Abstract :

The process of encryption images is considered within most of the broad fields, which includes their use in applications and the use of different encryption algorithms, which is unlike text encryption in which the image encryption suffers from redundancy in the explicit text and thus generates a problem that must be faced. In this paper, a new algorithm for encoding images was proposed based on the key generation method for the RC4 algorithm where in this method, the keys are randomly generated from the original image barcode after segmentation and then four random keys were chosen from barcode generated, so the time taken to generate the keys for the algorithm was reduced. Then the original image was encrypted depending on the proposed new algorithm ERC4 and the original image was returned, thus making the images encoded by the proposed algorithm resistant to differential attacks. The paper ensured that the proposed new ERC4 algorithm that was designed to obtain effective encryption and decryption of images without losing any data was used to encrypt the images using four different encryption keys, instead of using one. The proposed system increased the time the attacker would need to decryption the key, making the proposed system stronger against brute force attacks. The proposed method was implemented in Visual Basic.Net 2015 language.
