Abstract :

The long-term contraceptive method is a type of contraception seen in its effectiveness. Long-term contraceptive method consists of implants, IUD, tubectomy and vasectomy BKKBN data as of November 2019 showed the number of long term contraceptive method usage was 8.82% and the number still did not reach the target set in 2018 of 22.3%. The purpose of this study is to explain the factors associated with the use of long-term contraceptive method. Population was 50 active acceptors with a sample of 50 people determined by simple random sampling technique. The results showed that there was a correlation between knowledge (p=0.019) and husband's support (p-value=0.006) with the use of long-term contraceptive method. While the number of children (p=0.065) and education level (p-value=0.634) there was no correlation with the use of long-term contraceptive method. Therefore, a policy or program is needed to increase the use of long-term contraceptive method among the community and provide input or additional information to the study of reproductive health and family planning.
