Abstract :

The Smart Agriculture Monitoring System is developed using IOT technology. This system is powered by Arduino, and includes soil moisture sensors, water level sensors, water pumps, DC motors and GSM modules. When smart agricultural monitoring system is started, the water level and soil moisture level of the field is determined by the sensors. If water level is below than specified for a particular crop cultivated in the field, water pump will be automatically started by system. The SMS alerts regarding current water level, soil moisture level and starting of motor will through their be displayed on LCD display module. This information will also be communicated to farmers on their mobiles. The user has the facility to forcefully stop the water flow in the field by pressing the button provided in the system. This system when implemented will assist farmers in maintaining appropriate soil moisture and water levels of soil, hereby increasing productivity of crops with minimum effort.
