Abstract :

Machine operators have the duty to continuously monitor the performance of the machine in order to operate smoothly and ensure the production in accordance with the standards set by the company. In this X company, there are 2 divisions that have different working hours every week. Division A works for 40 hours per week and division B works for 48 hours per week. According to the results of the study showed that workers with more than standard working hours have a greater risk for working accidents. The purpose of this study is to determine the difference of frequency and severity of work accident between division A and division B. This research type is observasional descriptive. The sampling method uses accidental sampling. Primary data was obtained by interviewing operators in both divisions who had experienced work accidents. The results showed that the frequency and frequency of work accidents was higher in division B. FR Division A (40,65), FR Division B (45,53), SR Division A (1533,45), SR Division B (20692, 16). Operators with longer working hours each week have a greater frequency of occupational accidents and the severity of experience is also greater, leading to long hours of work loss.
