Abstract :

Sensors are employed to handle the area supervise operations. Data collection and transmission operations are managed with the base station and sink nodes. Energy constrained data collection and transmission is the main aspect in the wireless sensor networks. Sink node is a sensor that acts as an intermediate for the data collection and transmission process. Hierarchical tree model is constructed to handle the data capture and aggregation tasks. Due to the dense sensor deployment, many different DATs can be constructed to relay data from the monitored area to the sink. Data Aggregation Trees (DAT) are build to manage the data collection process. Deterministic Network Model based DAT construction is adapted for static network environment. Probabilistic Network Model (PNM) based DAT construction is employed to support data collection under dynamic network conditions. LBMIS identification is carried out using the Approximation algorithm. Load Balanced Parent Node Assignment (LBPNA) operations are carried out using the Randomized approximation algorithm. Approximation algorithms and comprehensive theoretical analysis of the approximation factors are presented which increases the network lifetime. Result shows that the proposed algorithms outperform the existing state-of-the-art approaches significantly.
