Abstract :

Abstract—In this paper, a deterministic Lymphatic Filariasis (LF) model is formulated and analysed with the aim of assessing the impact of multi-intervention campaigns on transmission dynamics of Lymphatic Filariasis disease. The role of Mass Drug Administration (MDA), health education campaign (on the use of Insecticides Treated Nets (ITN), Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) and environmental cleanliness) to community and Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) is established. Qualitative analysis is implemented to determine the basic reproduction number eR the control of the disease in communities. It is observed that, the disease-free equilibrium (DFE) exists and is locally and globally asymptotically stable if 1eR equilibrium exists and it is globally asymptotically stable. Numerical simulations are performed to complement the analytical results.
